We are an e-mail discussion
group of lawyers and other professionals in the legal
community from all over the world linked together by one
fact: We use Apple Macintosh computers to run our practices.
We believe that the Macintosh platform is the best platform
for our purposes for many reasons, but most importantly
because Macs are:
- less expensive
to own;
- easier to
operate; and,
- more
dependable
than any other computer.

The purpose of MacLaw is to
join together this group of individuals to share ideas on
how to maximize our productivity. We share software and
hardware ideas mostly, but not exclusively, dealing with Law
Office issues.
If you are a lawyer, or an
affiliate of a lawyer (e.g., Judge, clerk, legal assistant,
paralegal, law student, etc.), and you use Macintosh
computers or are considering switching to Macintosh
computers from some other operating system, please join
us.
Feel free to follow any of
the links on the left side of the page to learn more about
us.
Because only a very small
percentage of the legal community is currently using a
Macintosh as their computer of choice, our beliefs are not
widely held. They are, however, almost universal among those
who have used more than one operating system. For a more
comprehensive discussion of the benefits of using Macintosh
over other operating systems, please visit the page on Macs
vs. PCs.
We appreciate the generous support of Virginia Systems, the software designer who hosts this site. Please take a moment to visit their website and have a look at their document management software, WebSonar, by clicking the ad below. Those of you with both Macs and PCs in your offices will appreciate the fact that they've recently developed a Windows version of their software.
